SHAREMOUSE ALT UPDATE
This can occur, for example, after a macOS and/or ShareMouse update, since macOS may consider an update as a unknown new software. If you have a mouse or keyboard connected to the second PC, you need to do the same on the second computer to use that computers mouse on the first.
All you need to do is open the Mouse without Borders program and click on the Apply button to establish the connection.
The macOS system permissions may not work, although the settings seem to be correct. It is fairly easy to resolve the issue though.
